Chasing Rainbows

Rainbows

Rainbows

It was raining one night when my husband and I were out to dinner and I asked the question “Have you ever chased a rainbow to see where it lead?”

He chuckled “As a kid, probably. Have you?”

Nope, I never did as a kid. Which kinda made me sad, I never went looking for leprechauns or the pot of gold. I think either my mother or sister told me I was being silly, so I never did.

As we were driving away from the restaurant I noticed the intensely bright rainbow, then saw the smaller and less vibrant one next to it. Just as we started to drive into our neighborhood I turned to my husband and hoped he didn’t think I was too nuts.

“Will you chase a rainbow with me?”

He smiled and stepped on the gas.

We ended up about a half mile from our home and found a great spot on a little hill to take pictures. It looked like the rainbow ended in the open field, which was pretty neat. No pot of gold though, just a few hikers and wet dogs.

I love my husband for chasing rainbows with me.
